Ganga...a beautiful river

River Ganga adding beauty to Uttarakhand, flowing between the mountains and making different geomorphological features, "V- Shape Valley" is one of them.

Devprayag

Devprayag is situated in Tehri Garwal district at an altitude of 830 mts above sea level. It is a point where Alaknanda and Bhagirathi River meet and confluence of these two rivers forms a new river known as Ganga. "Dev" means god and "Prayag" means confluence so, its meaning is godly confluence.

Anasakti Ashram

A famous peaceful place in Kausani. It is located at 1 km from kausani bus stand. In 1929 Mahatma Gandhi stayed here for 2 weeks. Here he practised anasakti yoga. It is also known as Gandhi Ashram.

Baijnath temple

Baijnath temple of “Lord Shiva” is situated at the bank of Gomti River near Garur, Bageshwar district, Uttarakhand. It is an ancient temple built by Kumaon Katyuri king in 12^th Century. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Shiva and Parvati were married at the confluence of Garur Ganga and River Gomati.  

Deodar tree (Pandavas)

Deodar trees add beauty to Uttarakhand. There are many deodar trees in Uttarakhand but there is a group of five deodar trees having same root is at Kausani of Bageshwar district. This group of trees locally known as Pandavas as they were also five.

Kainchi Dham

Kainchi dham, one of the famous temple of Nainital. It is famous for Hanuman temple and Neem Karoli Maharaj ashram. Very less people know about this temple. Kainchi dham mela celebrated every year on 15 June.

  

Trisul Peak

 "Trisul" one the beautiful feature of Himalaya in Uttarakhand having elevation  7120 m ( 22970 ft).
